For over 30 years, I have represented people in criminal, domestic, and civil cases. In 2016, I opened NMS Law Firm, a practice centered around family law and criminal and civil appeals. Additionally, I hold the part-time positions of public defender for the State Courts of Stephens and Habersham County. I graduated from Emory School of Law with a J.D. in 1992 and New York University in 1989, with a B.A. in journalism and politics. I graduated from Murray County (GA) High School in 1985. My husband, Sean A. Black, has lived in Stephens County since the 1970s and I have made Toccoa my home since 1992. We have two children.
